چکیده
Opponents of World Literature fear that its advent marks the end ‘work literature’. J. M. Coetzee’s The Childhood Jesus (2013) presents a world in which work literature has indeed been forgotten. Migrants arrive new life ‘washed clean’ burden European tradition. Simón, who dimly recalls old life, feels something is missing new. He longs for altogether ‘other’. Might Simón learn from exceptional child David to perceive ‘likeness’ this world? Are we read novel like or — and with what consequence our understanding time Literature?
